Funeral services for David Pruett, 56, will be held Tuesday, July 1, at 11 a.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel, with Reverends John Genn and Randy Sholund officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation and support for the family will be today from 6 till 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The son of Charles Ray and Maxine L Black Pruett, David was born May 30, 1958 in Ardmore, and passed from this life on June 28 in a local hospital.

A graduate of Ardmore High School, he earned his associates degree from Murray State College. He worked for Uniroyal Tire Company starting in tire building and retired from Michelin in the finishing department. David was a loving father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. David enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and dogs. David was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Lone Grove and loved serving the Lord.

He is survived by his son, C. R. Pruett and wife Melissa of Wynnewood; daughters Amber Pruett of Ardmore, and Tera Walker and husband Ricky of Healdton; sisters Judy Newman of Ardmore, and Kathy Denny and husband Dennis of Houston; his father, Charles Ray and wife Lonita; grandchildren Britton and Keely Pruett, and Trae, Derick and Kyra Walker; dear friend and caretaker Janet Houser; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Pruett, Feb. 2, 2004.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Tyer, Bill Scott, Brad Manley, Larry Gay, Allen Elledge and Antonio Cavallo. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Denny, Mike Pruett, and Bruce Brightwell.
