Funeral services for Venita (Dolores) Nichols, 73, of Healdton will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Jamie Griffin officiating. Services are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home in Healdton.

Dolores was born to Hubert M. and Lucille Baxter Cash on Aug. 18, 1937. She graduated from Dundee High School in 1956.

She married Jim Nichols on Oct. 18, 1955. They were married for 54 years. She worked at the Uniroyal Tire Company for a number of years, and then worked as a bookkeeper for Kearney Ratliff’s Oil Co. They purchased the Texaco station in Healdton and later retired.

Her hobbies were growing a big garden and canning the vegetables from it. She was so very proud of her garden. She loved showing it to her son, Ray, and his wife, Sharon, every time they would visit during the summer months.

She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She will be sorely missed

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Nichols Jr. and wife Kim of Shepard, Mont., and Ray Winston and wife Sharon of Ardmore; two brothers, Duane Cash of San Bernardino, Calif., and Roger Cash of Ada; five grandchildren, Jacobi Nichols-Whatley of Yukon, Reese Nichols of Sheperd, Mont., Danny Woulfe of Aurora, Ill., Gretchen Bruner of Norman and Robert Nichols of Healdton.
