Kay Chaney 61, passed away Thursday September 25, 2014, at her home in Ardmore Okla., with her family at her bedside. Kay was born May 6, 1953, in Ardmore, Okla., to the late Betty Mildred & Thomas Adolphus Worsham.
Kay was raised in Healdton, Okla., and graduated from Healdton High School. She graduated from Ardmore Beauty College and worked as a beautician for the next 42 years. Kay loved her job by helping all who set in her chair feel beautiful and loved.
She was a member of Mary Niblack Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and entertaining for all the family get togethers and the holidays. Shopping was a close second. Most of all, her loving and kind heart was easy for anyone to love.
Kay married the love of her life, Alan Chaney in Ardmore on Feb 19th, 1977. Together they raised three children Jason, Marissa and Mitchel in the most loving home that Alan built for her. She spent countless hours attending motor cross races, riding motorcycles with Alan and dancing, listening to music played by her family and watching her boys play hockey. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren as they played dress up in her bling bling closet.
Preceded in her death are her parents; her sister, Joyce Lynn and husband, Virgil Griffith; her niece, Barbara Kay Veneigh; nephew, David Griffith; granddaughter, Lily Grace Chaney; and best friend, Flo Dodson.
Kay is survived by her husband of the home, Alan Leo Chaney; two sons, Jason Wayne Chaney and Mitchel Alan Leo and wife, Jaclyn Lee Chaney of Ardmore; daughter, Marissa Jill and husband, Aaron Cain of Edmond; her loving grandchildren, Abigail Reese Chaney, Joslyn Lee Chaney and Mitchel Alan Leo Chaney II (Mac) of Ardmore; her three brothers, Danny Worsham and wife, Fran of Ringling Okla., Stephen Worsham of Healdton Okla.;, Thomas Worsham and wife, Denise of Yukon; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Mitchel Chaney, Casey Worsham, Curt Duck, Waylon Ryburn, Christopher Dolan, Tyler Worsham, Trever Worsham, and Aaron Veneigh
Visitation will be today at Craddock Funeral Home Ardmore, Okla., from 6 -8 p.m.
Services will be Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leo Potts officiating. Interment will be at Bomar Point Cemetery.
