Services for Teri Anne Cavnar Freeman will be 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Ardmore with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Teri was born on Sept. 12, 1957, to Edgar and Betty Cavnar. She sang her way into heaven surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 26, 2014, at the age of 57. Teri attended Plainview Schools for 12 years and graduated in 1975. She loved playing basketball in her high school years and hanging out with her high school classmates. She was crowned high school basketball homecoming queen. Teri received her bachelor’s degree in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. She taught transitional first and first grade at Plainview Schools for 20 years. Teri was loved by her fellow teachers and would do anything to help. She had a heart of gold.
Teri loved her children and loved to spoil her grandchildren. She enjoyed arts and crafts along with gardening, animals and watching the grandkids play sports.
Teri was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.P. and Nora Cavnar, Gladys and Gaylord Ward; daddy, Edgar Cavnar; niece, Andrea Jayne Knight; and nephews, Bryan Knight and Dusty Cain.
She is survived by her four loving children, Wesley Wade Freeman and wife, Kristi, Roland Keith Freeman and wife, Tonya, Kali Anne Jones and husband, Daniel and Laci JaLynne Summers and husband, Steven. She had 10 precious grandchildren, Hunter, Emma and Addy Freeman, Whitney Munch, Cannon and Ava Freeman, Khloe and Kylie Jones and Rhett and Harper Summers; mother, Betty Cavnar; brother, Ed and Judy Cavnar; sisters, Sheri Lynne Knight and husband, Mike, Meri Jayne Miller and husband, John; nieces, Lyndsi Baxter and husband, Scotty and Julie Miller; nephews, Cody Cavnar, Brett Knight and wife, Lucy and Blake Miller; and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Cody Cavnar, Steven Summers, Scotty Baxter, Daniel Jones, Brett Knight and Blake Miller.
Donations are to be made to the Plainview Elementary First Grade department.
