An Ardmore man, dressed only in his underwear, was arrested Thursday night when a rural Dickson resident reported finding the unknown and under-dressed man sitting on his porch.

Carter County Sheriff’s Department reports state Capt. Daron Henry responded about 10:35 p.m. to 994 Mockingbird Road where he found a boxer short clad Ryan Paul Farr on the porch. Farr explained he had shed his clothes while being chased by hunters through the woods and complained the owner of the house would not give him a drink of water and it took Henry “long enough” to arrive.

Farr, described as belligerent and “not making sense” was arrested for public intoxication (drugs). He was handcuffed and placed in Henry’s car. But the charge ante increased when, before the officer could get in the car himself, Farr had managed to release his seatbelt and attempted to crawl into the driver’s seat in an effort to flee in the law enforcement vehicle. Farr was subdued. He was subsequently booked into the county jail.

Friday he was charged with resisting arrest, assault on officer and public intoxication. Bond was set at $20,000. Late Saturday Carter County Detention Center records showed Farr remained detained pending the posting of bond.
