Four participants in the Dash for Santa’s Cash promotion received an early Christmas present Monday as their names were drawn as award winners. All those participating in the contest had a ticket entered into the drawing for every $10 spent at a participating business this past weekend. The Ardmore Chamber of Commerce and Ardmore Main Street Authority were sponsors for the promotion.

Mary Lou Jenkins won the grand prize of $1,200. Jenkins’ name was entered at the brown paper bag. Rebecca Hicks went shopping at Factory Connection and won second place, which was for $700. Third place also was entered at the brown paper bag as Tracie Cumbie won $400. Jim Patton won fourth place, making his purchase at Tol’s Jewelry. The prize money must be spent at one of the participating businesses.

“We are so excited that so many people participated this year,” Janee Auten, chamber membership development coordinator, said. “All of our winners were excited to receive the phone call they had won.

“It’s great people supported all of our local businesses.”

Auten said from the amount of tickets entered into the drawing there appeared to be quite a bit of participation. Auten also said there would be a survey sent out in an effort to better gauge the level of business for participating merchants during the Dash for Santa’s Cash.
