DURANT — The Mannsville Public School Choir and six soloists competed in the Federation of Music Clubs Festival on Feb. 7, at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  The choir and student Kevin Morphet, the soloist, will be competing in the state contest in Ada on April 11. The choir, under the direction of Judy Foster, will be singing “Willow, Willow” by Mark Wilson. Morphet will be singing “The Weather” arr. Benjamin Culli. Kelsey Dillard and Cassandra Harwell are the first and second alternates. The accompanist for the choir was Gayle Avery.
The students who tried out in the solo division are Kevin Morphet, Kelsey Dillard, Cassandra Harwell, Alexia Otter, Courtney Lamb and Zachary Beckham.
