Earl S.G. Butler, 84, of Oklahoma City peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2015. Earl was born to Ruby Beasley and Francis Earl Butler on June 21, 1930, in Ardmore.

Earl served his country faithfully for 26 years in the United States Air Force. Earl Butler was stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany when he met his sweetheart, Hannelore in 1956. With a hard working spirit, Earl continued to work after his military retirement as a real estate agent for 30 years. He was a passionate patriot and dedicated family man. Earl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading, being outside, and loving on his animals. He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. His kind heart and gentle laugh will be missed by all who knew him.

Earl was preceded in death by his father, Francis E. Butler; and sister, Helen Binderim.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Hannelore Butler; mother, Ruby Beasley of Sulphur; two devoted daughters, Gayle DuBois and husband, Jerry of Oklahoma City, and Heidi Reed and husband, Kenny of Oklahoma City; and blessed grandchildren, Nicole Savage, Curtis DuBois, Marissa DuBois and Brittany Reed. He is also survived by two sisters, Frances Powell of Ardmore and Hazel Okkonen of Schofield, Wis.; and three brothers, Tim, Kenneth and Stanley Butler of Ardmore.

Visitation for Earl will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home.

A service to celebrate his life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Resthaven Chapel in Oklahoma City. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, www.resthavenokc.com.
