An early morning burglary netted thieves electronics from a southwest side residence. But one of those stolen electronic devices led to the capture of the quartet within 30 minutes of the crime and identified one of the four as a man wanted in connection with a murder in Oklahoma County.

Capt. Eric Hamblin, Ardmore Police Department public information officer, said officers responded to a report of the theft about 4:30 a.m.

“One of the items stolen was a cell phone. Officers began pinging the phone and it showed up as located in the 1100 block of North Washington Street,” Hamblin said.

Officers found the foursome at the northeast side location and arrested the group without incident. Booked into the Carter County Detention Center was Jonate Jenkins, also wanted on a warrant charging him with murder in Oklahoma County; Demond Cochran, Daymone Fleeks and Esther, Cruz.

Hamblin said all of the property reported stolen was recovered.
