Young library patrons are encouraged to join friends for stories, songs and fun during story time at the Healdton Community Library beginning Aug. 19.

Children are encouraged to attend “story time” at 10 a.m. every Wednesday during the school year.

“We look forward to this time of year when school begins and our younger citizens visit the library,” said Lori Ratliff, branch manager. “We have many wonderful things planned this year.”

Numerous activities are included in the weekly curriculum; including songs, crafts and literacy skills involving print motivation, vocabulary, phonological awareness and more.

To ask questions on story time or literacy skills used to enhance the success in young children contact the Healdton Community Library at (580) 229-0590 or visit us at 554 S. 4th.
