Jarrett Gordon Gregory, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at the Alliance Health Center, Durant, Oklahoma. The son of the late Jessie and Etta Gregory, Gordon was born August 19, 1936, at Danville, Virginia.
A resident of the Overbrook, Oklahoma community for the past 15 years, coming from Oklahoma City, Gordon was a Board Certified Radiologist and had worked over 10,000 hours in Emergency Rooms. He had received his formal medical training at the Bomman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, N.C. at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn., and additional postdoctoral training at the Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Medicine, Shreveport, LA, related to Diagnostic Radiology.
Gordon and the former Betty Sherwood were married February 4, 2007, at Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Of Baptist faith, he was a member of the American Medical Association, The Radiological Society of North America, and  was recognized for his medical service in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Gregory of the home; a son, Gordon Scott Gregory and his wife, Wendy, of Poteau, Oklahoma; and daughters, Dee Joseph and her husband, Louis, of Rhode Island, Lisa Gregory Smith of Ada, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Jarrett Gregory and Lauren Joseph; and other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Bruce Kirby.
A reception will follow services at the funeral home for family and friends.
