Funeral services for Tommie Wray Steudeman, 74, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Provence Assembly of God Church in Provence. Officiating will be Pastor Eldon R. Paschen and Ross Davis.
Serving as bearers will be Michael Miller, Caleb Goodin, Kris Behymer, Rick, Paul and Derrick Bates. Honorary bearers include Jeremy Bates, Willie Steudeman, J. D. Hartman, Tyler Donham, Issac Pitts, Josh and Justin Coop.
Following services, Cremation-With-Care will be provided by Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory.
Tommie passed from this life, to life everlasting, Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Mercy Hospital of Ardmore. A resident of Ardmore and this area all of his life, Tommy was born February 23, 1941, at Ardmore, to the late William Garland and Mary Elizabeth (Howard) Steudeman.
A self-employed over-the-road, long haul truck driver, Tommie had been a driver for Bacon Transport and had also worked for Joe Brown, and DART. In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was always ready for a game of dominoes.
He is survived by four daughters, Caria Coop and husband, Glenn, Paria Steudeman, Tommie Miller and husband, Michael, and Gail Steudeman; son, Wyndell Goodin and wife, Ginger; step sons, Gary Hartman and Larry Hartman, Jr.; brothers, Donald Steudeman and wife, Rita, Calvin Steudeman and wife, Faye, and Ed Steudeman; a sister, Jane Denney and husband, James; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, J. L., Speedy Jay and Vernon; and three sisters, Reba, Virginia and Laveda.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation and support from 2 to 4 p.m., this afternoon at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory.
