Gilbert Lee Castillo, 48, went home to be with the Lord and loved ones on Sept. 22, 2015. He is at peace and resting in the loving arms of Jesus after struggling with a long hard fought battle with liver failure and other health issues.
Celebration of Life memorial services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. David Miller officiating.
He married his loving dedicated bride, Tammy Castillo, who stood beside him through it all, on Dec. 25, 1994, at Harvey Baptist Church in Gainesville, Texas. The pride and treasures of his life was his three loving children, Brentson, Bre and Briley Castillo and his loving granddaughter, Lily’aunna Ervin.
He leaves to go to his long awaiting place in Heaven and is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Lynn Castillo; sons, Brentson James Lee Castillo and Briley Jordan Lee Castillo; loving daughters, Berianna (Bre) Jadelynn Lee Castillo, all of Ardmore and Erica Lee Castillo of Corpus Christi, Texas; precious granddaughter, Lily’aunna Rosary Lee Ervin of Ardmore; father, Guadalupe Castillo of Dallas; mother, Nora Luevanos Castillo of Dallas; stepmother, Yolanda Castillo of Dallas; brother, Lupe Castillo of Dallas; sister, Michelle Castillo of Houston; aunt, Janie Castillo of Dallas; uncles, Fermin Castillo, Paul Castillo and Steve Castillo, all of Dallas; and several other cousins; in-laws, Roy and Mary Wilcox of Gainesville, Texas; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Harold and Belinda Harwell of Gainesville, Texas, Carroll and JoAnn Woods of Bridgeport, Texas, Jim Hicks and Cindy Cantwell of Bowie, Texas, Adam Wilcox of Gainesville, Texas; nieces and nephews, Maryann Harwell of Gainesville, Texas, Thomas Harwell of Thackerville, Bennie Lovejoy of Bowie, Texas, James Cantwell of Bowie Texas, and Eric Fitzgerald of Bridgeport, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Waiting on him in Heaven are his grandparents, Paul and Nita Castillo and Annie Wilcox; great-grandparents, Paul and Ursula Castillo, Thomas and Filo Villareal; nephew, Michael James Cantwell; and numerous family members.
Lee is forever in our hearts and will be greatly deeply missed by his family, who are grateful that he is at peace with his Creator, The Almighty Heavenly Father.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated at any Landmark Bank in the Name of Gilbert (Lee) Castillo to offset medical and family expenses, payable to Tammy Castillo and family.
