Attorney General Scott Pruitt will sponsor the 2015 Disability Employment Law Conference on Tuesday, in the Oklahoma City Metro Tech.
The day-long conference organized by the Attorney General’s Office of Civil Rights Enforcement , benefits Oklahomans with disabilities and Oklahoma employers by offering practical strategies for successfully employing people with disabilities in compliance with disability employment laws.
“My office is committed to doing all we can to help Oklahoma employers and Oklahomans with disabilities overcome obstacles to success,” Attorney General Pruitt said. “By offering educational opportunities such as this conference on disability law, our goal is to help employers learn strategies to successfully comply with employment law.”
Pruitt is pleased to welcome the involvement of 10-year-old Oklahoma entrepreneur Keith Boyd, who despite his disability, successfully launched his own small business, Keith’s Ice Cold Beverages, and a charitable foundation to raise support for the disabled. Boyd is serving as this year’s co-host for the conference.
This year’s event is near capacity, but sessions will be available free of charge via live Internet stream. The link is available at www.ok.gov/oag.
