Patricia Shoemaker, Angelia Wheeler, and Leann Rivera have been named Employees of the Quarter by the staff at Sunshine Industries, Inc. of Ardmore.
Shoemaker was born in Dallas and lives in Ardmore. She has worked at Sunshine Industries for 33 years.  Currently she works as a Sunshine Thrift Store sales associate greeting customers, unloading/loading donations, assisting display, and keeping the store clean. She has also worked at First National Bank providing popcorn to customers, Elmbrook preparing silverware for resident meals, and on the Sunshine Litter Control Crew.
She is a graduate of John Carter High School in Dallas.
I’m so happy about winning Employee of the Quarter,” said Shoemaker. “My mother, Ms. Elizabeth Shoemaker, is so proud of me. Come by the Sunshine Thrift Store to see me.”
Wheeler was born in Texas and moved to Ardmore. She is one of the newest members of the Sunshine staff, having worked as a habilitation training specialist in the Residential Services Program for four months. Wheeler says her motto is, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
Wheeler has four children and two grandchildren. She is a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
 A lifelong Ardmore resident Rivera and her husband, Juan, have two children, Carmen and Juana, and two grandchildren, Xamena and Bairon.  After working in the Residential Service Program, Rivera has worked at Sunshine as a vocational training specialist and supplemental supports provider.
“I enjoy my job daily because I am taught something new from each individual I work with,” she said.
Sunshine Industries employs 48 people on staff who provide direct vocational and residential services to people with disabilities. One hundred ten people from Southern Oklahoma with developmental and intellectual disabilities receive training at Sunshine.  
Staff name Employees of the Quarter by vote. Each honoree receives a gift certificate from the business of their choice.
