Douglas Keith “Dugan” Jefferson, age 55, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Madill, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2015, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest with Pastor Robert Taylor officiating. Interment to follow at Durwood Cemetery, Marshall County, Okla.
Dugan was born at Talihina, Okla., on May 13, 1960, to Cecil Glenn Taylor and Ahnawake (Jefferson) Taylor. He enjoyed playing dominos, fishing, painting, and watching OU Sooners Football and Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball. Dugan loved spending time with his family and friends, but his most special friend was his canine companion, Precious.  
He was preceded in death by his father, and niece, Kara Renae Sampson.
Dugan is survived by his mother, Ahnawake Taylor; four brothers, Richard G. Taylor and wife, Lorene of Ardmore, Okla., Tody Taylor and wife, Shera, of Madill, Okla., Joe Taylor of Tulsa, Okla., and Jon Taylor and wife, Jen, of Ardmore, Okla.; three sisters, Gail Taylor and husband, Michael, of Madill, Okla., Amber Taylor Walker of Madill, and Joyce Sampson, and husband, Johnny, of Ardmore, Okla.; two aunts, Josephine Taylor and Pauline Taylor of Madill, Okla., and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Nick Ashley, Kyle Hallmark, Ross Sampson, Chris Sampson, Shawn Taylor, and Steven Mose.  Honorary pallbearer will be Larissa Taylor.
A visitation will be held on this evening, November 22, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Griffin ~ Hillcrest, Ardmore, Okla.
