OPEC+ weighs large oil cutback to boost sagging prices

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — The OPEC+ alliance of oil-exporting countries on Wednesday will debate a potentially large cut in the amount of crude it ships to the global economy — a move that could help Russia weather a looming European ban on oil imports and raise gasoline prices for U.S. drivers just ahead of national midterm elections.

August’s quail roadside survey shows slight decline statewide

This year’s August roadside survey results suggest northern bobwhite numbers have declined slightly from last year on average across all of Oklahoma. But when broken into regions, the north-central and northeastern parts of the state showed better quail numbers compared to August 2021.

Shawn Robert Hoaglin

Ardmore-Memorial services for Shawn Robert Hoaglin, 64, will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Church of God. Shawn was born in Oklahoma City on August 12, 1958, and passed peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on October 1, 2022, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He is a graduate of Mustang High School Class of 1976. He was a member of New Hope Church of God where he faithfully drove the church bus for more than 20 years. He is preceded death by his parents Wilma Faye and William Raymond Hoaglin, and brothers Terry and Mike. Shawn is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Bailey of the home; daughters Debbie Sander, Ardmore, Lea Butler and boyfriend Daniel Brooks, Ardmore; son, Markus Alford and wife Angela, Sulphur; grandchildren Jacoby Sander, Coy Butler and wife Olivia, Colton Hembree and wife Rachel, Journey Hembree, Faithlynn Alford, Taraliegh Alford, Skylar Qualls, Tailor Kennedy, Skyla Johnson, and Ayden Johnson; and great-grandchildren Everly Butler and Hadley Butler.
