Queen to see in new UK leader in Scotland for first time

Associated Press LONDON (AP) — In a first, Queen Elizabeth II will remain in Scotland, where she is taking her summer break, to receive Britain’s outgoing Prime Minster Boris Johnson and his successor next week, royal officials said Wednesday. The 96-year-old monarch traditionally holds audiences with outgoing and incoming prime ministers at Buckingham Palace, her official London residence.

Although September is still pretty much a summer month in Oklahoma, it means that cooler fall weather and more rains are soon to follow, thank goodness. Even though the autumn equinox is the official start of fall on September 22, plants are still growing and need the same care they needed all summer. It’s still almost 100 degrees, and I know we are all tired of dragging hoses to keep everything watered; however, what we do in the garden now is extremely important because it determines the success of our spring gardens.

He told me he slept on the couch a long time and got very little sleep after her death, because he couldn’t stand sleeping alone. He has two dogs and had never allowed them on the bed. He finally decided to try sleeping in the bed with the dogs, and was then able to sleep.
