Stocks rally again, close out best month since Nov. 2020

Stocks racked up more gains Friday as Wall Street closed out its best month since November 2020, a welcome breather for investors after a punishing year for the market. The S&P 500 index, a benchmark for many stock funds, rose 1.4% and finished 9.1% higher for July.

Inflation and wage data suggest US prices will keep climbing

WASHINGTON (AP) — Inflation surged in June and workers’ average wages accelerated in the spring — signs that Americans won’t likely feel any relief from rising prices anytime soon and that the Federal Reserve will feel compelled to further raise borrowing costs.

BancFirst awarded top spot on the Forbes Best-In-State Banks 2022 list

BancFirst announced today they have been recognized as the Best Oklahoma Bank on the Forbes magazine list of Best-In-State Banks of 2022. Forbes identified Best-In-State Banks of 2022 based on an independent survey of Oklahoma consumers who were asked to rate banks at which they have or previously have had checking accounts.

The Chickasaw Nation is offering Childcare Stabilization Grants to eligible child care providers within the Chickasaw Nation service area. The grants offer financial relief to help offset unexpected business costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. These grants are designed to help support operation services so they may continue without limiting staff or shutting down.
