AHS Tigerettes take-over UDA Summer Camp

Recently, Ardmore High School Pom Coach Emily Orr traveled with the AHS Tigerettes to the University of Oklahoma to attend the Universal Dance Association (UDA) Summer Camp hosted by Varsity Spirit for a consecutive year. The UDA, which was founded in 1980, has hosted summer camps for teams to inspire leadership among today’s dance teams. All of UDA’s material and programs are centrally focused on the traditional role of dance teams, and provide one-on-one coaching to emphasize each team’s growth and improvement in the art. During camp, the dancers learned proper dance techniques, conditioning and new routines, which they were expected to remember and perfectly execute on the last day of camp as they were evaluated by the staff, coaches and other camp attendees.
