Rip the Poodle is a very good boy with a very big job. Police K9s are a common feature for most police departments; their typical duties include suspect tracking and apprehension, narcotic and explosive detection, and search and rescue. The Ardmore Police Department employs three K9s to this effect. Although also an “employee” of APD, Rip holds an unusual position – in fact, he was one of the first of his kind.

KOZANI, Greece (AP) — At Greece’s largest coal mine, controlled explosions and the roar of giant excavators scooping up blasted rock have once again become routine. Coal production has been ramped up at the site near the northern Greek city of Kozani as the war in Ukraine forced many European nations to rethink their energy supplies.
