The Ardmore Public Library will be hosting Extreme Animals and their array of exotic animals on June 17. Join the library for a wild time that will provide you and your children with a handson, interactive experience with all sorts of exciting and exotic creatures! Lemurs, sloths, otter, kangaroos, crocodiles, tarantulas, and more are all possible animals that will provide an incredible encounter like no other.

Recovering alcoholic feels helpless as cousin implodes

DEAR ABBY: I was an alcoholic. I have been sober since 1994. I live with my elderly aunt and assist her while working in ministry. Her son lives with us and is, basically, a hopeless alcoholic. He drinks all day and lies on the couch. I know that if this continues, it will be fatal.

Pro rodeo returns to Murray State College

TISHOMINGO — The Murray State College rodeo team brings pro rodeo back to campus on June 17-18. This year’s rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA.) The rodeo will display the talents of cowboys and cowgirls from across the region, as well as some of the Murray State rodeo team, as they compete for added money in each rodeo event.
