Iraqi held by US at Guantanamo pleads guilty to war crimes

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — An Iraqi man who has been held at the Guantanamo Bay detention center for more than 15 years pleaded guilty Monday to war crimes charges for his role in al-Qaida attacks against U.S. and allied forces along with civilians in Afghanistan.

Pro rodeo returns to Murray State College

TISHOMINGO — The Murray State College rodeo team brings pro rodeo back to campus on June 17-18. This year’s rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA.) The rodeo will display the talents of cowboys and cowgirls from across the region, as well as some of the Murray State rodeo team, as they compete for added money in each rodeo event.
