TISHOMINGO — The Murray State College rodeo team brings pro rodeo back to campus on June 17-18. This year’s rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA.) The rodeo will display the talents of cowboys and cowgirls from across the region, as well as some of the Murray State rodeo team, as they compete for added money in each rodeo event.

It was an eventful evening for Dickson High School senior Karlea Faught at the 2022 Best of the Arbuckles Preps Awards. Early on in the event, she took to the stage to claim her award for Cheerleader of the Year.
Smith was recognized as the 2022 Male Athlete of the Year.
Grant was named the Female Athlete of the Year.
Blankenship is the recipient of the 2022 Patriot Auto Group “Fighting Heart” Award.
Price is the winner of the 2022 Chickasaw Nation Courage Award.
Furr is the 2022 Best of the Arbuckles Preps Girls Coach of the Year.
Koons is the 2022 Best of the Arbuckles Preps Boy Coach of the Year.
