Bank of America Q1 profits fall 12%, much less than rivals

NEW YORK (AP) — Bank of America posted a 12% decline in first-quarter profits from a year earlier, a decline that was much less than the ones its rivals had reported the previous week. The nation’s second-largest bank was helped by higher net interest income and no noticeable exposure to Russian assets.

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Sara Kay (Coren) Smithart on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at her home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Sara was born on May 7th, 1977. She was just one month from her 45th birthday. Sara is survived by her husband, Daniel Ray Smithart, 60, and her son, Aiden Daniel Smithart, age 6, both of Ardmore. She is also survived by her father, Alan Coren, 74, stepmother, Pam Winston-Coren, of La Canada, California, sister, Lisa Lisk, and Cailey and Dustin, step-siblings. Sara is preceded in death by her mother, Debra Ann (Coren) Flamm of Phoenix, Arizona. Sara was loved by many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Sara will be dearly missed.

Dogs owned by Iditarod vet, reality TV star kill family pet

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A pack of sled dogs belonging to an Iditarod veteran and reality TV star killed a family pet in Alaska, officials said. Authorities in Wasilla are investigating the March 30 incident involving dogs owned by musher Jessie Holmes, who finished third in year’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and stars in “Life Below Zero: Alaska” on the National Geographic channel.
