Chanel restricts sales to Russians abroad amid Ukraine war

PARIS (AP) — Luxury fashion brand Chanel says it has stopped selling its clothes, perfumes and other luxury goods to Russian customers abroad if they plan to take the products back home — a bold response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine that some say goes too far.

Rapper Dizzee Rascal sentenced for assaulting his ex

LONDON (AP) — British rapper Dizzee Rascal was sentenced Friday to a curfew and a restraining order for assaulting his former fiancée. A judge at Croydon Magistrates’ Court in south London told the musician he must observe a 24-week curfew and wear an electronic tag.

It’s snowing! The back patio is being covered in white petals as they flutter down from the two Bradford pear trees. From the looks of it, the trees have produced a robust set of blooms this spring. Despite some frosty weather, the profusion of peach blossoms has added splashes of pink to the landscape. The old redbud has lower dead branches, but higher in the sky purple flowers open to meet the sun.

Judy was a beautiful and talented woman who loved people, traveling, and most of all social dancing. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Don and Nell, her siblings Peggy Gage and Dale Rorick. She is survived by her children Alan (Marcia) Rudd and Russell Rooms; Grandchildren Aaron (Jenny) Rudd, Telina Rudd, Chad Johnson, Alannah (Jaron) Jackson, Matthew Rooms, and Dylan Rooms; Sister-in-law Maggie Rorick; nephews Mark Greenway, Eric Gage, Robin Gage, Randy Rorick, and Shawn McCarty; nieces Teressa Pivniska, Donne Wilkens and Lisa Rorick; seven great grandchildren and numerous family and friends.

We Can’t Ignore the Border

For more than a year, the condition of President Joe Biden’s self-made crisis at the southern border has continued to deteriorate. With every passing day, it becomes clearer that it is far past time to rein in the chaos of this ever-worsening crisis. However, the president has decided to ignore the issue once again in his budget proposal for fiscal year 2023 as well as end critical Title 42 coronavirus restrictions on May 23, that will only open the flood gates and encourage millions more to try and illegally enter our country.
