Saudi Arabia puts 81 people to death

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Saudi Arabia on Saturday executed 81 people convicted of crimes ranging from killings to belonging to militant groups, the largest known mass execution carried out in the kingdom in its modern history.

ROLAND - Linda passed on to greener pastures in Roland Ok at her daughter’s house on 2/22/22 at 2:22 am. A strange fact that, IF she didn’t engineer, she would have loved. Born on February 9th,1955 in Dallas Texas to Dorotha and Robert Long she was raised by Dorotha and her second husband Carl Phillips. As a very young woman, she traveled the world taking pictures of the tulips in Holland, castles in Germany and sites all over Europe including the time she used her Murray State College press pass to get into the Louvre and take photos. She later created masterpieces of her own in her art quilts that have been featured in many galleries. More recently, she really enjoyed, and took pride in, providing local real time news and weather to her online scanner community.

Tristan Cameron Lee Ward

The son of Donald Ward, Jr. and Janet Paige (Reins) Ward, Tristan was born on December 14, 1997 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away on March 10, 2022, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 24 years.

Christine Wilkerson Parrish Hill

ARDMORE - It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Wilkerson Parrish Hill on February 10th, 2022 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at the T Boone Pickens Presbyterian Hospice home where she was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. The spirit of our beloved Mom, Nanny, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and friend, gained her angel wings in a style as only she could.

ARDMORE - Chelsea Renee Seifried was born August 25, 1991 to Tammy Freeman and Mike Seifried in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on March 7, 2022 at the age of 30.

Orville Steele

ARDMORE - Orville Lavern Steele was born October 24, 1925 in the small town of Moorewood, Oklahoma to Georgia Tanner Barten Steele and Elmer Ezra Steele. When Orville was eight years old, his father died of Tuberculosis. He quit school at the end of the eighth grade to go to work and help support the family. He entered the Navy on February 5, 1944, and after boot camp at NTC San Diego was assigned to the escort carrier USS Fanshaw Bay (CVE-70) in the southern Pacific Ocean. While onboard, he manned an anti-aircraft gun, defending against Japanese attack. The day after turning 19, his task group,“Taffy 3,” composed of flagship Fanshaw Bay, five additional escort carriers, and an accompanying screen of three destroyers and four destroyer escorts, outfought, outwitted and outmaneuvered a powerful Japanese task force of battleships, cruisers and destroyers, known as the “Battle off Samar.” In recalling the incident, Orville said, “I thought I was going to die that day.”
