Graveside services for Billie Gayle McCaskill were held at Crinerville Cemetery November 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Chuck McKennell officiating. The daughter of the late James and Zuliene Cook Bumpass, Gayle was born February 19, 1937 in Lone Grove, and departed this world for her heavenly home on October 31, 2022 surrounded by her family. Gayle graduated from Lone Grove High School, where she was star basketball player. She and Kenneth Allen McCaskill were married July 1, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2021. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons Michael McCaskill and Kennan Mashore; and her granddaughter Betsy Lea Mashore. Gayle worked as a payroll clerk for Uniroyal Tire Company for 20 years. she is survived by her son James Dan McCaskill and wife Terri; daughters, Karen Gayle Mashore and husband David, Carol Lynn McCaskill; grandchildren, Kenny Mashore and wife Corissa; Stacey Sanders and husband Donnie; Christopher Mashore, Kelli McMurry and husband Walton and Dustin McCaskill; seven great grandchildren.
