Funeral services for Bobby D. Dodge are scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Donny Custar officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Bobby Dave Dodge was born April 21, 1930, in Ardmore, to David and Opal (Wallace) Dodge. He passed from this life on August 12, 2022, in Ardmore.
Bobby was a 1947 graduate of Plainview High School. He worked for OG&E for 37 years, retiring in 1987. Bobby also served his country in the US Marines, serving from 1952 to 1954. Bobby and June Casey were married in 1955. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1964. After June’s death, he married Patsy Nance on June 2, 1967. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2006.
Bobby was extremely proud of his family, especially his grandchildren. They were the highlight of his life. During his lifetime, he coached numerous YMCA baseball and basketball teams in which his sons participated. He also attended many of his grandchildren’s sporting events. Not many people knew this, but his favorite hobbies were fishing, fishing and fishing.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Casey Dodge, Chris Dodge, Kylen Dodge, Marcus Miller, Phil Atkinson and Greg DeBerry.
He is survived by his sons, Terry Dodge and his wife, Loretta of Ardmore; Mark Dodge and his wife, Carla of Elmore City; Stepson, Blant Miller and his wife Cindy of San Antonio, TX; Five Grandchildren: Heather Dodge, Casey Dodge and wife Tiffeny, Chris Dodge, Marcus Miller and wife Anna, Morgan Dunagan and husband Sam; Great-Grandchildren: Makinzi Dodge, Kaleb Williams, Kylen Dodge, Caden Pickens and Carter Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, June Dodge; second wife, Patsy Dodge; and grandson, Jeremy Dodge.
The family would like to thank Stephanie Jordan and her staff at The Suites at Elmbrook for their tireless and compassionate care.
Family visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 “C” Street N.W., Ardmore, OK 73401.
