Over the years she worked a few different jobs that she liked, but she was very fond of a job she had with D & D Signs in Terre Haute, IN. There she was able to travel the US seeing many beautiful and interesting places while installing billboards. She later found her true calling, one which would follow her throughout the rest of her life.... being a mom and “granma”. Besides having a passion for her children and grandchildren, Deena also spent a lot of time outdoors. She loved working in her flower beds and in her vegetable gardens. The fruits of her labor in the garden produced the best homemade pickles in Love County. Deena also loved camping, hiking, kayaking, and mushroom hunting. Deena was preceded in death by her mother Ella Louise Harper; a great-granddaughter, Ophelia Jo; two ex-spouses that she cared greatly for, Larry Young and Kent Ebert; a niece, Tachia Welch; and a nephew, David Wilson.
