Patsy Sue (Howard) Sullivan, age 78, passed away peacefully the evening of August 28, 2022, to be with our Heavenly Father. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Cheek Cemetery in Lone Grove. Patsy was born in the Cheek community of Lone Grove, to her parents Robert Virgil Howard and Clodell M. Howard on July 3, 1944. Patsy, better known as “grandma” loved her family fiercely. If there was a problem, you definitely didn’t want to get in Grandma’s way while she solved it. She was beautiful, witty, wildly competitive and strong willed. She was a friend to all and had never met a stranger a day of her life. She inspired so many people to do better and to be better. There wasn’t a single person, young or old, that wasn’t going to be invited to church or asked to sing in the choir alongside her. She was a proud woman but never too proud to share the love of Christ with others. She and her husband Verney moved to the Dallas area in 1963, where she worked and retired from Lone Star Gas-Oncor. She built a beautiful and successful life that only some could dream of. She would be quick to tell you, it wasn’t easy but boy it sure was worth it. She was a delightful soul and her lively spirit will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Clodell M. Howard; and her siblings, Byrl and Wanda
