Newport - Funeral services for Mr. Roy “Dog” Dewane Ashley, 79, of Newport are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. Steve Gardner officiating. Megan Nicole was a mother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many. Her personality was larger than life. When she walked into a room, you knew she was there. She was a genuine and loyal friend to anyone who needed her. She started her lifelong friendships at Plainview school, where she graduated in 2005.
If only there were enough words to fully grasp the depth of wisdom, knowledge, strength of character, and sincerely fun-loving nature of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Herschell Ray Whitley, but sadly the universe is far too small to contain them, as he was literally larger than life.
