Funeral services for Ronald Leroy “Ron” Kinney, Sr., 77, will be held Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.

Ima Jean (Roberts) Buck

Ima Jean (Roberts) Buck was born April 23, 1937 to Bertha Mae (Nusz) and Harold Wayne “Richard” Roberts in Enid, OK. She passed from this life on June 9, 2022 at the age of 85. At 3 years of age, Jean’s mother died and she was raised by her maternal grandparents, Alex and Rachel Nusz until their deaths. She was then adopted by Marvin and Moyne Brannon at the age of 13 and moved to Wilson, OK at the age of 16. It was here where she met her future husband, Don Buck. They were married on May 29, 1955 at the First United Methodist Church of Wilson. From this marriage they had 2 children, Jean Ann and Larry Don. Jean enrolled at Southeastern Okla. State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught a half year in Paducah, TX, one year at Springdale School, and 27 years at Plainview Elementary. After retiring she served 5 years on the Plainview Board of Education. Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore.

Winfred Dewayne passed away on June 1, 2022 at his residence in Ardmore, OK. The memorial service was held on June 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the East Main Church of Christ, 920 East Main St, Ardmore.Winfred Dewayne was born in Kansas City, MO June 30, 1958 to Oliver J. Gordon and Loretha Gooden Gordon Patterson. Winfred attended Lawton Public Schools, graduated from Eisenhower Sr. High in 1977. After high school, Winfred attended Army National Guard 13-45th Transportation Co. Lawton Goodyear Tire Co, moved to Tulsa Ok & married Barbara McIntosh (deceased) Gordon. His fiance, Mary Milton, step daughter Shamekia and grandson of Tulsa. Sister: Sonya (Gordon) Holmes of Ardmore, Saundra (Gordon) Skates and husband William of Tulsa, Danny R. Gordon sr. and wife Dawn Gordon of Tahlequah, OK, Angela (Gordon) Lane of North Carolina, church members, friends & host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Woodford Arvell James Pickens

Funeral services for Arvell Pickens, age 80, are Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hickory Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Brown to eulogize. Arvell James Willis Pickens Sr., was born February 23, 1942 in New Port, Oklahoma to Dollie Jackson Pickens and Jim Pickens. He grew up in the Milo Community and attended Central High School. At a young age, Arvell accepted Jesus and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as deacon, sang in the choir and served as President of the Trustee Board until his health failed. Arvell was a farmer and ran his own landscaping business, known as Arvell’s Landscaping. He was a hard-working workaholic. Arvell loved everyone and never minded helping when called upon. In his spare time he would fish, hunt with his brothers, vacation and spend time with family and friends.
