John T. Roberts, better known as “Jack”, was born September 4, 1939 to the union of J. T. Roberts and Amanda Taylor Roberts in Gene Autry, Oklahoma. He was called home on March 10, 2022 in Denton, Texas.

TULSA - Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Brenda Gail Tanner, of Tulsa are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Inurnment to follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

ARDMORE - Services for William Earl “Bill” George, Jr., will be Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Merrick Drive with Mr. Cougan Collins officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at West Memorial Lone Grove Cemetery.

ARDMORE - Lonnie Wayne Herschel, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 18, 2022, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home with The Reverend Roger Scott officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla.

LONE GROVE - Lindall Sharol Buck, age 61, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from injuries sustained in an accidental fall at his home in Lone Grove, Okla. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore, Okla. He would be honored if you simply paused a moment for a thought or prayer for him or a loved-one you have lost.

RINGLING - Please join us in Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Pamela Louise (Evans) Weaver~Gandy, 62, at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams and Bro. Jim Branch officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.

The son of Donald Ward, Jr. and Janet Paige (Reins) Ward, Tristan was born on December 14, 1997 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away on March 10, 2022, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 24 years.

ARDMORE - It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Wilkerson Parrish Hill on February 10th, 2022 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at the T Boone Pickens Presbyterian Hospice home where she was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. The spirit of our beloved Mom, Nanny, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and friend, gained her angel wings in a style as only she could.

ARDMORE - Chelsea Renee Seifried was born August 25, 1991 to Tammy Freeman and Mike Seifried in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on March 7, 2022 at the age of 30.

ARDMORE - Orville Lavern Steele was born October 24, 1925 in the small town of Moorewood, Oklahoma to Georgia Tanner Barten Steele and Elmer Ezra Steele. When Orville was eight years old, his father died of Tuberculosis. He quit school at the end of the eighth grade to go to work and help support the family. He entered the Navy on February 5, 1944, and after boot camp at NTC San Diego was assigned to the escort carrier USS Fanshaw Bay (CVE-70) in the southern Pacific Ocean. While onboard, he manned an anti-aircraft gun, defending against Japanese attack. The day after turning 19, his task group,“Taffy 3,” composed of flagship Fanshaw Bay, five additional escort carriers, and an accompanying screen of three destroyers and four destroyer escorts, outfought, outwitted and outmaneuvered a powerful Japanese task force of battleships, cruisers and destroyers, known as the “Battle off Samar.” In recalling the incident, Orville said, “I thought I was going to die that day.”
