Cheers to the City of Ardmore, which celebrated its designation as a Purple Heart City in a ceremony Friday. As a Purple Heart City, Ardmore recognizes the sacrifices that its Purple Heart recipients and veterans have made on behalf of our country. Cheers to all the organizers, participants and volunteers that have worked together to make the Ardmore Corporate Fitness Challenge a success. Competition took place Tuesday through Thursday as city businesses and industry vied for bragging rights in different sports. Weather attempted to damper competition but thanks to the generosity of the Ardmore Family YMCA, Ardmore City Schools and Oak Hall, the event went off without a hitch. Great job to all involved.
