It’s no secret that each basketball campaign is different and that was the case this season as several local squads found success on the hardwood. That didn’t go unnoticed, as the 2021- 22 All-Ardmoreite boys basketball team features a balance of athletes from various schools.
All it takes is a quick glance at the statistics to see a simple fact — there’s an abundance of talent on girls basketball squads across southern Oklahoma. With that in mind, the 2021-22 All-Ardmoreite girls basketball team features the top area athletes who put up impressive numbers this season.
PLAINVIEW — Winning is one of best feelings, especially when a squad uses clutch base hits to get the job done. The Plainview High School baseball team proved that Wednesday by taking down Dickson 6-2 in a district battle.
The conditions were far from ideal for playing golf on Wednesday, but that didn’t stop 23 squads from taking the links for the Dickson Tournament at Lake Murray Golf Course. Plainview won the tourney with a 360, followed by Marlow (367) in second and Lone Grove in third at 374.
It’s safe to say a squad usually wins when seven batters finish with a hit. That was the case Tuesday as the Lone Grove High School baseball team cruised to a 13-0 shutout of Sulphur in five innings.
