ARDMORE – It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Wilkerson Parrish Hill on February 10th, 2022 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at the T Boone Pickens Presbyterian Hospice home where she was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. The spirit of our beloved Mom, Nanny, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and friend, gained her angel wings in a style as only she could.
Chris was born April 5, 1924 in Wilson, Oklahoma, the daughter of Bill and Ada Wilkerson. She grew up in Wilson with her brothers Elmer, Buddy, and LeRoy, and her sisters Alta, Virginia and Mary who have preceded her in death. She lived her last several years at the Waterford Senior Living Community in Mesquite, Texaswhere she enjoyed several activities including Bingo threetimes a week and her most favorite game, dominoes, five times a week!
She had three sons Lonnie Parrish (Susan) of South Burlington, Vermont, Gary Parrish, deceased, (Vernonica)of Irving, Texas, and Blane Parrish (Linda)of Rockwall, Texas. She was blessed with too many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren to mention. Her many nieces and nephews will also miss her love, her caring and her guidance. Chris had an uncanny knack for finding happiness in her daily routine of walking around and through the Waterford Senior living center. She had a very outgoing personality and could inspire anyone to feel comfortable in her presence. She always recognized the good in people, never had a negative thing to say about anyone, and always cherished life!
A private Celebration of Life with family will be scheduled at a later date.
