The daughter of the late Ocie Lee Claxton and Mary C. (Roche) Claxton, Donna was born on May 26, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas and passed away on October 6, 2021 at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 20 days. Donna grew up in Love County and attended school at Marietta High School. She and James “Jim” Wood were married on June 12, 1969 in Durant, Oklahoma and had celebrated their 52th wedding anniversary this year.

Donna had worked numerous years as a real estate agent with the Ross Group Estate as an office assistant. In her leisure time Donna enjoyed painting, going dancing and spending time with family and grandkids. She leaves behind to cherish her memories a loving husband, James Wood of the home; son, Scott Wood and wife Angie; grandkids, Maddie and Lane; brother, Ken Claxton. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dixie Claxton. Celebration of Life for Donna K. Wood, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Lawrence Anderson officiating.
