Gary Edmund Schuff passed in Ardmore, OK on November 14, 2022 at the age of 72.

Gary is survived by his wife Glenda Gail Schuff of Ardmore, OK, Four Daughters, Carla Nichols of Arlington, TX; Debbie Adams of Rowlett, TX; Kristina Roberts and husband Bob of Haslet, TX; Anne Giltner and husband Austin of Wynnewood, OK; Seven Grandsons; Kyler Nichols of Arlington, TX; Evan Pittman of Ashland, KY; Keaton Nichols of Austin, TX; Tanner Pittman of Lexington, KY; Justin Pittman of Sacramento, CA; Cody and Jaxon Giltner of Wynnewood, OK; two granddaughters Megan Blankenship and husband Josh of Weatherford, TX; Amber Roberts of North Richland Hills, TX; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Edmund Schuff of Belleville, IL; mother Myra Hangsleben and stepfather Art Hangsleben of Belleville, IL.

Gary was born to parents Edward and Myra Schuff on January 7, 1950 in Belleville, IL. After Graduation he joined the US Marine Corps in 1968. Many of his accomplishments included Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Certificate of Commendation, and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He retired from the USMC with the rank of SST (E-6) in 1976. Gary and Glenda married May 28, 1994 in Arlington, TX. At which time he gained 3 additional daughters.

After his Military service he went to work for Kroger Grocery Stores. Gary worked as a Store Manager for several years, was promoted to corporate leadership. He retired from there after 25 years.

After his retirement Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and most especially his beloved Glen and all their fur babies Delta Dawn, Grunt, and Sophie. Gary was always busy with projects from remodeling their homes, helping their neighbors, working odd jobs or anything to keep him busy and active. He was the happiest when he was busy and moving. He was the most caring, loving and patient man to everyone, and he adored his grandkids and family. He was forever humble and would only talk about himself if asked. After spending several years back in Belleville, IL Gary and Glenda decided to move to Ardmore, OK to be closer to family. Since moving to Ardmore Gary spent his free time making their new home perfect for them.

The memorial service for Gary Edmund Schuff will be Friday, November 18th at 1PM at Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore OK. Dennis Lopez will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
