On Sunday, February 5, 2023, Geneva Ruth Wallace, loving aunt, passed away at the age of 98.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday at 10:00 am in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. David Daniel officiating. There will also be a visitation on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:00.

Ruth was born February 23, 1928, to Cecil Dockery and Jess Y. Hitt. She married Earl Wallace, July 4, 1942, in Ardmore. They had been married for 64 years. Aunt Ruth was a kindhearted woman who served others around her. She owned a clothing boutique, Guys and Dolls, for 28 years in Ardmore. She was known throughout the community for her sewing and baking skills.

She was preceded in death by her father Jess Y. and mother Cecil as well as her husband Earl Wallace. Also, her brothers Haskell Hitt Gordon Hitt and Billy Ray Hitt and sisters, Iris Knight, Eunice Greer and Willie Maddox.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Rickets, Jordon Rickets, Josh Walls, Hayden Musgrove, Jason

Vela and Bay Kirkham.

Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Hitt, Robert Hitt, Drew Rickets, Kevin Hitt, Chris Nance and

Lynn Hitt.
