Governor Stitt Appoints Carson Brooks as District Judge for the 20th Judicial District, Office 1

OKLAHOMA CITY (October 16, 2025) – Today, Governor Stitt announced the appointment of Carson Brooks as the District Judge for Oklahoma’s 20th Judicial District, Office 1.

“Judge Brooks exemplifies Oklahoma’s values of integrity, service, and fairness,” Governor Stitt said. “His deep legal experience and commitment to justice will serve Carter County and our state well.”

Brooks has lived in Ardmore since 2012 and brings over 20 years of legal experience to the bench. He earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences and natural resources from Oklahoma State University and a law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He spent 11 years in private practice and later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Carter County, where he tried numerous jury and non-jury cases involving family, criminal, and juvenile matters.

“I want to thank Governor Stitt for the trust he’s placed in me with this appointment,” Brooks said. “It’s been one of my greatest honors to help people who appear before me make positive changes in their lives. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Oklahomans with fairness and integrity.”

Outside the courtroom, Brooks enjoys spending time with his wife Kelli, and their three children, attending church, hunting and fishing, and cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
