Criner Hills VFD fundraiser

The Criner Hills Volunteer Fire Department will host its Bar-B-Q Fundraiser Oct. 12 with live music starting at 5:30 p.m. and meal at 6 p.m. There will also be a live dessert auction. The Criner Hills VFD Station 1 is located at 3346 S. Countyline Road in Overbrook.

Fall Fest at HFV

The HFV Wilson Community Center will host its Fall Festival with partners Strength in Numbers and East Ardmore Revitalization from 5 to 8 p.m., Oct. 12 at the center. The event will include face painting, games and prizes which includes a cake walk and costume contest. A magical evening

Potter in the Park is coming to Central Park. The event will be free to the public from 4 to 10 p.m. Oct. 19 in Central Park. There will be vendors, food trucks, butterbeer and Potter-themed stuffed animals. Rest assured, it will be a fantastic evening.

Some soup for you

Guard against the chill of fall and attend D. Allen Wint’s Let’s Get Souped fundraiser benefitting the Main Street Authority. It will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Oct. 23 at the Murray State Event Center, located at 108 E. Main St. in Ardmore.

Fun for all

Save the date as Community Youth Services will host a Masquerade Ball at 6 p.m., Oct. 26 at the Harper & Copper Rooms. The evening will feature door prizes, a wine pull, silent auction, entertainment, a catered meal and more fun than you can imagine. Ticket details will be provided in the coming weeks.

Haunted evening in Gene Autry

The Gene Autry Volunteer Fire Department will host its 3rd Annual Halloween Carnival from 6 to 9 p.m., Oct. 26 at Tumbleweed Hall, located at 73 Prairie St. in Gene Autry. The evening will feature a costume contest at 8:30 p.m. for three different age categories along with a cake walk, pie in the face for the firefighter with the most donations, treats and games.

Truck or Treat

Truck or Treat will return to Main Street at 3:30 p.m., Oct. 31. Merchants will have candy for the kids and trucks will be lined up on Main Street for kids to see and enjoy. Dress up for the occasion to win a prize and have an awesome time doing so.

Festival for the season

Save the date for the 2nd Annual Oklahoma Pecan Festival, which will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 in Depot Park. The event will begin with a Veterans Day Parade and service followed by a full day of activities that will include vendors, live music and a barbecue cookoff.
