The Ardmore Farmers Market will return for the summer on May 24. The market, located at 106 E. Broadway, is open from 7:30 to 11 a.m., each Saturday.

Pat Green coming to Ardmore
A familiar name for country music fans is coming to Heritage Hall. Pat Green will be in concert on May 30 with guests Prophets & Outlaws along with Johnny Cooper. Doors open at 6 p.m. with music at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchase online at stubwire.com. Heritage Hall is located at 220 West Broadway in Ardmore.

Support the Gene Autry VFD

One of the best traditions in Carter County returns as the Gene Autry Volunteer Fire Department hosts its fish fry fundraiser May 31. There will be a raffle for an elk hunt and a dessert auction. It will be from noon to 4 p.m. in the Gene Autry Community Center at 136 Tumbleweed Road. For additional information, call Paul Tucker at 580-220-9179.

Support Heroes with Hope

The 8th Annual Heroes with Hope Golf Tournament will be at 9 a.m., June 6 at Lakeview Golf Course. The entry fee is $50 per person and $100 per team. Heroes with Hope programs include Shop with Cops, Coat Distribution, Shopping with Students, Socks and Underwear Distribution Drive and K9 Care. There will be prizes for the top three teams along with longest drive and hole in one. Bingo for Bob

The Goddard Center will host its 3rd Annual Bob Ross Bingo Night on June 6. A cocktail and social time will start at 6:30 p.m. with bingo from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be prizes with food and drink included in the ticket price. And don’t forget to fix the hairdo and take part in the Bob Ross costume contest. The cost is $25 for pre-registration and $30 at the door. Proceeds will go to the Goddard Center.

Heritage Hall music

Pecos and The Rooftops are booked for the Heritage Hall on June 7 with special guest Brayden Stewart. Doors open at 6 p.m. with music at 7:30 p.m. For tickets, visit stubwire.com. Heritage Hall is located at 220 West Broadway in Ardmore.

Enjoy a snack and a car wash

The Young Women Life Skill Session will host a fundraiser bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 14 at Carter County Dodge. At the same time, the Young Men’s Life Skill Session will have a car wash fundraiser. Carter County Dodge is located at 3600 W. Broadway.

Embrace art

Circle the calendar in June for the Ardmore Art Adventure. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 14 on Main Street. There will be live music, bounce houses, chalk art, bounce houses and a kid’s scavenger hunt. Sum it up and there is fun for the whole family. It is also free of charge.

Bingo back for an encore

The HFV Wilson Community Center will host 80’s Bingo Night at 6 p.m., June 14 at the center. Admission is $25 for the event, which will feature music, prizes and a concession. Feel free to dress up in your most awesome 80s threads. Proceeds from the event will benefit the center building capital campaign.

Fun for the family

The Family Fun Day of Southern Oklahoma will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 28 at the Murray State College Ardmore Campus. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offer resources, memories and non-stop fun. The campus is located at 2901 Mt. Washington Road in Ardmore.

Ongoing events

The Ardmore Family YMCA hosts Toddler Time each Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. It is free for members and toddlers and $12 for a day pass for non-member adults. The class is taught by Kelsey Armstrong. The class is available to children from six months to four years old.

The Y is also hosting Teen Weight Room and Conditioning for ages 10 to 14 from 5 to 6 p.m., every Tuesday and Thursday. It is free to Y members and $35 a month for nonmembers. Registration is at the Y front desk.
