The son of John Wesley Dishman and Myrl (Qualls) Dishman, Johnny was born February 28, 1946 at home in Ardmore, Oklahoma and passed away on April 12, 2022 at his residence in Woodford, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years 0 months and 14 days.
Johnny grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma and graduated in the top 25% of his class of Ardmore High School in 1964. He then attended Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, studying drafting and graduated early. Johnny moved to Houston, Texas in February of 1966 and began a career working for several engineering companies over the years. The family moved to the country near Woodford, Oklahoma in 1988. Johnny spent many hours working on his farm.
In his leisure time, Johnny enjoyed spending time with family and friends and doing family genealogy. During his younger years he enjoyed traveling and photography.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Sarah of the home; daughter, Emily Jane Dishman and Kevin Hodgson; grandkids, Ethan and Katelyn Hodgson; brother, Jerry Dishman; many nieces and nephews and a cousin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bill and Jimmy Dishman.
Memorial services were 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating. Services were live streamed on the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home & Crematory Facebook.
