Kenneth Wayne Solley

The son of the late Louie Wade Solley and Louise (Oakman) Eakins, Kenneth was born on August 25, 1945, in Ardmore, and passed away on November 22, 2022, at his Ardmore residence at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 27 days. He and the former Donna Lynn Willis were married September 15, 1968, in Ardmore. They recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. Kenneth loved his wife. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army receiving the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and was a sharpshooter with both a rifle and a pistol. An Ardmore resident all of his life, Kenneth graduated from Plainview High School and later attended Murray State College. Kenneth retired from Michelin after 28 years of service. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, motorcycles, and especially Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church where he was very active. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; two sons, Bryan Solley and wife Susie, and Brad Solley and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Ashley and husband David, Kaitlyn and husband Chase, and Deklin; greatgrandchildren, Caiden, Connor and Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents and identical twin brother, Curtis Wade Solley. Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Solley will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Tolbert officiating.
