ROLAND – Linda passed on to greener pastures in Roland Ok at her daughter’s house on 2/22/22 at 2:22 am. A strange fact that, IF she didn’t engineer, she would have loved. Born on February 9th,1955 in Dallas Texas to Dorotha and Robert Long she was raised by Dorotha and her second husband Carl Phillips. As a very young woman, she traveled the world taking pictures of the tulips in Holland, castles in Germany and sites all over Europe including the time she used her Murray State College press pass to get into the Louvre and take photos. She later created masterpieces of her own in her art quilts that have been featured in many galleries. More recently, she really enjoyed, and took pride in, providing local real time news and weather to her online scanner community.
Linda was preceded in death by a lot of people, but her memory is carried on by her 3 siblings, Bobbie Long, Carla Holt and Joyce Hodgson; 4 children, Laura Word, Leslie Fleming, Christel Roberts and Wyatt Freeman, 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Rossi, Jazmine Delcambre and Christel’s two boys and 2 great grandchildren, Logan and Remy Delcambre.
She asked that her online/offline friends continue to be kind to each other and stay weird. A get together to remember Linda will be held at Sirloin Stockade in Ardmore OK, on Saturday March 19th at 3pm.
