Local election results: ACS bond fails, Sjulin retains city commission seat

Carter County took to the polls on Tuesday, April 1 to vote in a number of local elections. Here are the results according to the Oklahoma Election Board.

Ardmore City Schools bond issue for the new high school: Failed 879 to 823.

Ardmore City Commissioner for Ward 1: Nancy Sjulin retained her seat 1,640 to 717.

Plainview School Board for Office 5: Ferris Anderson retained her seat 587 to 229.

Lone Grove Councilmember for Ward 5: Mickey Davis won 110 to 58.

Healdton School Board for Office 4: Aaron Hawn won 100 to 63.

SouthernTech School Board for Office 2: David Leu retained his seat 2,020 to 1,875.

Wilson School Board for Office 5: Greg Whatley won 182 to 39.

Wilson School Board for Office 4: Merl Bone won 142 to 78.

Wilson Bond Issue 1 to repair and renovate the ag building and build covered parking for busses: Passed 138 to 78.

Wilson Bond Issue 2 to buy new busses: Passed 137 to 79.

Zaneis School Board Office 3: Joe Don Stewart won 57 to 36.
