A trio of area high school softball athletes were named to the Oklahoma Fastpitch Coaches Association’s All-State teams.
Lone Grove’s Kadence Lampkin and KJ Tudor were honored on the OFCA’s Middle West squad, while Wilson’s Mary Bates was selected to the Small West squad. Bates is the first Lady Eagle to be named All-State in school history.
Lampkin notched a .432 average with 27 RBIs, two homers and seven doubles during her senior campaign. Tudor finished with a .342 average, highlighted by 23 RBIs, two triples and a .997 fielding percentage.
Bates hit .454 with two homers, 22 RBIs, six doubles, five triples and a .975 fielding percentage. She was also named the No. 1 overall athlete on the OFCA All-Region Small West team.
The Lady Horns won a Class 3A State Championship with a 41-2 overall record, while the Lady Eagles tallied a 20-13 mark and finished at No. 18 in the final OSSAA rankings.
