Louise W. Stevenson was born September 3, 1936, to Lela (Baker) and Isom Jennings in Wayne, OK. She passed from this life on July 10, 2022, at the age of 85.
On December 5, 1953, Louise married Eldon Stevenson in Purcell, OK. From this union they had four children, Roger, Eldonna, Sherra, and Sandra Jean. Louise was a cook for several schools in Oklahoma, including Altus, Northeast, and Dickson. She was a member of the Mannsville Church of Christ.
In her free time, Louise loved to go bowling and shopping, especially for shoes. She also enjoyed waking up early for garage sales and attending her grandchildrens’ activities. Most importantly, Louise loved attending her church. Through the years, Louise became Grandma to all she came in contact with. Louise was preceded in death by her parents Isom and Lela Jennings, son Roger Stevenson, and seven siblings.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Eldon Stevenson, daughters, Eldonna Evans and her husband Mike of Wichita Falls, TX, Sherra Barbour and her husband Steve of Lone Grove, OK, and Sandra Jean Stevenson of Ardmore, OK, grandchildren, Michael Evans, Jr. and his wife Michelle, Raymond Evans and his wife Jackie, Crystal Evans and her fiancé Chris Cook, Brentli Cook, Scott Hofmann, Jr. and his wife Erin, Stuart Hofmann and his wife LaTesha, Shelby Palmer and her husband Jacob, Seth Morgan, Jacob Morgan and his girlfriend Becky Baker, great grandchildren, Tyler Evans and Robyn Howe, Hailey Evans, Gunner and Maison Evans, Jesslynn and Devan Twomey, Addison and Halle Hofmann, Margaret, Jordan, and Robert Hofmann, and Ella and Anna Mae Palmer, and great great granddaughter Catherine Louise Evans coming in August.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Matt Benedick officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Ardmore. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
Michael Evans, Jr., Raymond Evans, Scott Hoffmann, Jr., Stuart Hoffmann, Seth Morgan, Jacob Morgan, Jacob Palmer and Gunner Evans will serve as pallbearers.
