Mary Ann Saxon

Mary Ann Saxon, 78, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on May 24, 2022, at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born on February 7, 1944, in Chickasha, Oklahoma to the late Rev. Edwin M. Walker and Lona Bessie Hambleton Walker. Mary Ann grew up in several different communities throughout Oklahoma due to her father being a Methodist Preacher. She graduated from Madill High School in 1962 and married J. A. Saxon on August 25, 1962, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Mary Ann worked as the Methodist Church Secretary in Madill for over 32 years retiring in 2005. She was an active member of the church and always enjoyed working and helping with the bizarre. She loved cooking, sewing, and turning out the calves in the roping pen for J. A., Wes and Julie. Her greatest joy was her grandkids and going to their events. She is survived by:

Great Grandchild: Ruby Birch Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John and Bill Walker.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm with family hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, Madill, Oklahoma. Interment will be at McMillan Cemetery, McMillan, Oklahoma. Steve and Wanda Littrell will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
